And as the pervy one descends, I arise with new hope and new terror, I shall convince you all that there is a hack among artists. But not now.

Now, I go insane for I am Discord's disciple you see, I revel in the way chaos inconveniences others, have you ever had to serve nothing but orange juice because the water supply is contaminated and all the other bottled drinks were taken? I have, and the disappointment is glorious!

Anyhow, what do you think the girls's Sun signs are?

You know, Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, Libra, etc...

Of course I say Aquarius first because I am one.

Has the library's name ever been said in show?
No, but it's been named All There in the Script for a long time; aside from a one-off use of "Books and Branches Library" by The Hub, every source has called it either "Golden Oaks Library" or "Golden Oak Library" (its trading card is still significant, though, since it tipped the balance from "Oak" to "Oaks").

[up][up]I think that that has to do with birthdates. When was Pinkie's birthday again?

Not as far as I know, I think it was officially named in one of the online games first.

[up][up]True, but it may be more interesting to correspond the traits of aforementioned signs to the characters since we don't know their actual birthdates.

@Mousa. Generally, they're called the zodiac. Not sun signs. I can't help, though. I don't know that much about the details behind them. I used to.

@Whatshisgame. I'm surprised I've never been aware of this. I've just been calling it Ponyville Library. You wouldn't happen to know how long we've been aware of the name? Don't bother if it's too hard to find, though.

Awww, I kind of liked Books and Branches. Though I suppose it is a mouthful.

Books and Branches is a charming name.

Goodnight, Freeman.

The name Golden Oaks amuses me because the library is not golden, and I don't think it's an oak.

Also, if they put out a set of the cards I'd totally buy them if not for the fact that I just busted my money on the Powerpuff Girls dvds and buying a Lyra brushable prototype on ebay.

Golden Oaks is pretty cool. The real surprising bit for me is that the Princess Luna cards use the version of her from before she returned to full strength, with the shorter, solid mane. It even looks like they pulled out a previously unused vector for the primary Luna card, unless some old box art has her in a flying pose like that.

I think it's the same vector as the comic con poster. But yeah, what, if you could clarify?

Wasn't it mentioned in the first episode that the Ponyville Library was Celestia's personal library?

No, why would it be? She has a library in Canterlot.

@Turtlebutter: I suggest reading the Guards books and Moist's books. Moist's story is much more condensed, it consists only of Going Postal and Making Money. He's a clever manipulative conman type character if that interests you.

The guards books start with Guards! Guards! which is kind of a weak book but it goes up from there. In my opinion the guards books are the best the series has to offer. Just read them in order, and ignore the rest of the books if you want to just focus on their plotlines.

@Latenight:hey, nice to see you in the thread again.

I don't remember the Personal Library thing either.

@Blue: The only Discworld books I've read are Men At Arms and The Fifth Elephant, and I more or less enjoyed them.

Something interesting of note with the cards is that the background color of the frame around the names on the character cards varies, with pink for most of the characters, light blue for the pets, and dark blue for what I can assume are the antagonists (though if that's true, then DT&SS not getting an antagonist designation is a bit weird.)

Another thing is that the Mare-Do-Well card has something else on the front of it, in the corner of the name panel. The image is too blurry to make out what it is, though.

Hey Bluespade I lurk mostly since I don't say much. They call me The Silent for a reason.

Yeah Spike mentions that "Its the Princess' library" while they're on the chariot to Ponyville. I just watched that part.
