[up] x 7 Beats me.

How do you all feel about humanization of MLP anyway?

Me, I don't mind it, so long as a real attempt to stay truthful to the character was made. Oh, and it stays tasteful. Shame about the porn.sad

Silver Star? Hay yay! Did you see his pie slinging skills?

Also, he was prepared to face death with dignity. Bad. Ass.

[down] OK, face a severe beating with dignity then.tongue

I agree with everything Ginger said. I also agree with the Sheriff and Mr. Bison (OF COURSE): "You gotta care" was kinds Stylistic Suck there. It's just that Pinkie and sexiness go together like chocolate and camembert.

[up]If I recall she did but executive meddling, demographics, yadda yadda, etc, etc, blah blah blah.

And because there's nothing like good ol' self-pimp, Human Twilight for those talking about humanizations earlier.

AC Drawings makes the human ponies look incredibly plain without being Gonks. I think that's pretty badass of him.

I don't mind the occasional bit of humanized art, but I'd prefer to see art where the character designs stay true to the originals (barring interpretive styles, of course).

[up]Same. I think it's interesting how different artists translate the ponies' dominant traits into human form. And yeah, it has to stay tasteful.

There's seems to be some common themes with the humanizaton aspects of the fanbase:

FS must be in a yellow sweater. Usually turtleneck.

AJ has dasiy dukes.

Rarity needs some sort of stylise belt.

Twi gets the 'nerd' sweater. Also, she's the one most likely to be non white.

RD varies quite a lot. Especailly the hair. But track gear is very common.

Pinkie can be anything from a gymist physique to heavyset. I slide on the heavy set side. It's all the cakes you see.

[up][up][up][up]Yeah, I thought the exact same thing with Pinkie. And I completely ignored Daisy dukes for Applejack an went straight to overalls.

And I noticed Twilight was more likely to be non-white too, I found it rather interesting actually, why her specifically I wonder...

[up]Spike is hardly an oaf, in fact I'm not sure where you get that impression Many things but not oaf.

I imagine Pinkie as overweight, but not unhealthily so. She's bigger than the mane cast, but not in any debilitating way

If I was to do humanization (and I might once I replace this out of date computer), I'd go with this guideline:

Rarity and AJ are the tall ones.

Twilight is next in height level, and skinny.

FS and Pinkie are just below Twi in height. FS is very slender and graceful, whilst Pinkie is Voluptuous.

RD is the shortest. Althehic and agile looking.

[up] Yeah. Overweight, not obese. I mean, she is pretty active. And I don't see it hindering her looks either. Some girls can pull off carrying a little bit of weight. I think Pinkie would fall into that catagory.

I think Spike's mostly there to be cute, even by the show's standards. A lot of the gags around him are just there to be cute (the tail sucking thing, and getting a helmet out of nowhere when digging for diamonds).

And I'm dead sick of complaining about NOT ENOUGH BOYS. So watch a boys' show. It's for little girls, and I think it's more on the boys' show side to include more girls that aren't just love interests. From what I've seen, Hey Arnold was decent at that but that show was on about ten years ago.
