If it was a Twilight plushie, and I had the money to spare, and I didn't live with my parents, I would totally consider buying it. Unfortunately, grad school has basically devoured most of my money. I have to save that $200+ for textbooks.

What I can't understand is why the guy is selling it. If I made one of those things, I'd hang on to it. Although maybe if it was a chore to put together he's sick of having it around.

Yea, can't say I'm sure about that myself. Then again, I think people seem to just like creating for the sake of doing and don't really get attached (I like creating, but I get attached to my works) and just move on to the next thing.

Ginger: And there's plenty of Fluttershy plushies that get made. Her, Pinkie and Dashie seem to get the most attention. I own a 19" tall minky Fluttershy myself. She's so very huggable.

Same here; if I put that much effort into something, I'd want to keep it. I might make duplicates if I wanted to make money, but I'd definitely keep at least one. Especially if it's a freaking life sized Rainbow Dash plushie.

, Yeah, I know what you mean. As you can tell from my avatar and sig, I've made quite a few Soul Gems, but I'm totally keeping my green one.

Teeth: Yea, I've actually got a family friend asking me to do a couple drawings so he can give them to his friend's kids for Christmas and while I've convinced myself that I can part with the drawings once I finish, there's still a tiny bit of lingering doubt (and this is after I've literally done over a hundred of these things, I'd be going all Gollum on the first if I ever made a life size plush ). I guess this person is just more detached. Oh, well, I guess that means he'll be getting a fair chunk of change from me (or even more if someone else decides to one up me, I guess).

If there was a full-size Fluttershy plushie.... I....... Oh my God. She'd be in my room before she's on order!

I'm sorely tempted to make my own, but I need to grind my crafting/needlework skills up, and I'll also need lots of plush material and stuffing.

That goes for villain plushies as well... though they'd relieve stress in a slightly different way (Blueblood plushie in a blender anyone?)

If I had any knowledge of how to make a plushie, and the time to make one, I'd do it. Unfortunately, I don't know jack about handicrafts and I'm strapped for time enough as it is without spending hours learning how to sew one of those.

Ultra-basic primer to make plushie:

1. Get material
2. Have a rough idea of the shapes you need
3. Outline shapes on material
4. Carefully cut out the shapes
5. Stitch together the "wrong way", leave a gap, turn inside out so the stitches are on the inside
6. Stuff with your soft plushie filling, close the gap
7. Add details and stitch individual bits together

I want to try, but I haven't got the hardware and skills... yet.

Which revives a question that keeps popping up in my mind - what the frack is "life sized" for My Little Pony, anyway?

I know the Celestia toy is pink because Hasbro's buyers said they'd order fewer if she was white. Though some folks insist the show's animation model is a very pale pink, so technically it's accurate.

As for the "Friendship is Magic" gift set, it also comes with a booklet version of the series premiere in abbreviated form. Unfortunately, instead of using stills from the episodes, it uses stock images and off-model art rather haphazardly, so you get silly things like Twilight Sparkle running past Scootaloo and Apple Bloom while she's rushing to do research on Nightmare Moon...

I has a solution for Hasbro: Release an alicorn 3-pack, with Celestia (white), Luna (blue), and Lauren Faust (light pink w/ red mane).

I know this conversation is not liked that much but after seeing the second half of "the Return of Harmony", I'm convinced that Discord is a Complete Monster. he Mind Rapes the Mane Six and tuns Equestria into a hellhole that gets worse by the second For the Evulz. and the stained glass painting of his rule in ancient times clearly depicts him about to murder a bunch of ponies, ponies that were already in terrible pain. and while you may argue that Discord fails the second criteria, his Laughably Evil side makes him a lot like The Joker if you think about it. just look at Discord's character sheet and the show's Nightmare Fuel page.
