Laurend did say that they all were supposed to look different. but to save animators time they decided to give all of them the same bodies.

Mules are ugly. Celestia, fluttershy and Rarity are pretty. That's all We can be sure...

Pinkie Pie is a conditional Reality Warper, kind of like Discord. In Discord's case, it only works when it would cause chaos and/or... well, discord. In Pinkie Pie's case, it only works if it's supposed to be funny.

well in the fight against Discord she was the most useless... now that I think about it. In a serious context Pinkie deosn't seem to be that powerful.

Since Pinkie's abilities have been brought up a lot here, I have to ask, did she actually contribute anything to the latest episode? I'm pretty sure she was the least useful pony there, she was actually hindering them when trying to catch Rainbow Dash.

yeah in th fight against Nm she didn't make any physical feat (she only laughed to the trees) and in the fight agaisnt Discord she was the most useless (she actualy liked the chaos lol).

Probably in a serious situation she isn't that strong.

I noticed that too. Basically she was just more comedy relief, but as a team asset she's really just cannon fodder and an "Alternate solution" when all else fails.

I know, right? I totally thought she was going to join Discord or something the way things were going.
