@Rose: Sure, it may be clear, in some circumstances, but not in all, and there's still the matter of the corresponding verb form. He/she is always clear.

A slash would essentially be a glorified space, while speaking, but if you hear someone say something like, "And then he she went to the market, " it's pretty clear that it means, "And then he/she went to the market, " since there is no other context in which you would put he and she next to each other without anything in between them. They, on the other hand, is used in a lot of other contexts, and saying, "And then they went to the market, " can mean that either multiple people went to the market, or someone who's gender the speaker doesn't know went to the market. As you can see, he/she is very clear, while they is way to ambiguous.

I'd rather own all of the consoles rather than choose just one of them.

I use a PS3 because I used to have a PS2 and before that a PS1.

I'm a sucker fo patterns... and I prefered the PS3's controller to the one for the 360

God, from what I tell you all...you must think of me as a violent thug.

Not at all. Honestly it sounds like you have an absolutely ridiculous amount of stupid, cruel, difficult people to deal with, it's admirable that you're still trying to control yourself. But if you think you have an anger problem than it's a good thing for you to try and deal with it. Everyone could use less anger in their life.

Don't bother being kind folks. It just leaves you open to abuse.

You just need to deal with the abuse. He's your brother, sit him down and tell him exactly how he's abusing your generosity, and that he's going to stop. If he doesn't stop, explain to him that you're cutting him off for exactly the reasons you specified previously. People that abuse other's kindness need to be confronted, for their own good and other's.

@Marston: Sorry to hear that, man. You may still be able to find him again though. If he was a forum user chances are he's got other places online he frequents. Maybe do a user name search, or check forums of things you know he likes? You just might be able to find him out there, somewhere. Other than that, all I can say as that you still have friends here.

Man, I'm in serious mode today, aren't I?

Which consoles would the mane 6 have? waii

Pinkie - Wii
Twilight - Atari 2600 or an NES or one of the earlier generation consoles (and a PC for more current gaming)
Rarity - Nintendo DS (seems like the type who'd offhandedly play something for a few minutes at a time while on the move)
AJ and Flutters - No idea

Rainbow Dash - X Box 360 [lol]

I'm sorry but I can't comprehend your position, des. It makes no sense to me why anyone wouldn't use they when referring to someone of an unknown gender.

@Rose: ...Because it's stupid, confusing, and unclear, and there are much better and more clear ways to refer to someone of unclear gender than they, specifically he/she.

But it isn't. In no way does it look like that to me. For me they is the most practical, easiest to understand and least clumsy way of getting that sentiment across.

@Rose: But he/she is a much more practical and clear way of getting your point across, and the singular they is confusing and unclear. If anything, it's the singular they that's clumsier...
