I was watching Cutie Pox and thought of something. Remember how some people wondered why saying just anything that was true or even Pinkie's confession didn't make the truth flower bloom? Perhaps it's because it only works if the sufferer of the cutie pox syndrome is the one to confess or speak the truth, because it's meant to cure that pony. And that's part of how cutie pox is cured.

In fact, what if cutie pox only inflicts itself who does something dishonest to get a cutie mark? Twilight's book didn't say how it was transmitted or how ponies get it, so what if the fact that Apple Bloom stole from and lied to Zecora (and to her classmates) caused the cutie pox in itself?
