@Sixth: My desktop packs a 2-year-old i5-650M beastie, which should render Minecraft beautifully. However, I really want to toss it into my Fusion-powered rig which packs the low-cost AMD Fusion "Bobcat" E-450 APU, which is light on CPU power (using Phenom II cores) but massive on graphical pushing (with its on-die Radeon HD 6310 M GPU).

Just checked Passmark, Your Celeron

is marginally more powerful than the APU in my mini-notebook

so I should be able to play it reasonably smoothly there on tiny :D

Just be sure to give it plenty of ventilation room, Ace, cause it'll heat up your lappy :P. And I can't run it smoothly on Win7 on the laptop, only on Ubuntu (part of the reason I originally switched for day-to-day usage :P)

@Ace: Really love how that makes my Core 2 Duo+1 GB Nvidia GeForce 9400 GT+2.5 GB RAM machine (you can only really do so much with a Dell prebuilt) feel so old.

@Sixth: I reckon the Radeon cores should take the graphical render weight a little off the Fusion APU. I've got a nice Cooler Master vent pad just in case of heat anyways.
