I'm not really interested in seeing anyone else join the main cast (the main character dynamics are fine as they are right now), but I do know I would certainly appreciate it if the background ponies were a tad closer to an even split than the seemingly 85-90% female population Equestria seems to have right now. Though if they could make a few more male secondary characters I certainly wouldn't mind that either.

I think someone brought up the idea before, but an episode focusing on BM and the CMC could be awesome.

Like silently staying in the background and saving them from countless dangers while they continie crusading completely unaware or something

There really aren't any characters I dislike, except Luna a bit and she'll probably be better with more airtime. As long as she isn't emoluna, the Alicorn that cries a flood every day. Which is what the fandom seems to think she is.

I initially saw Luna as a classic example of Draco in Leather Pants. But now I think I like her and I am very eager too see her characterization in season 2 :)

That's why we shouldn't put too much stress on fan predictions. Once Luna's part will air, MANY fans will be upset no matter what.

The whole series should have no Luna until the very last episode where she says HIBYE very quickly.

So far all we know is she's sorry for the Nightmare Moon thing and a mama bear when it comes to her subjects. She went after Discord because he was scaring them, after all.

we also know that she is "good" (she didn't fake her Heel Face Turn and "dark" maybe darker than Celestia.

There is no way Luna will fullfill all her hype... Even the boss of Naughty Dog has a lot of hype for her
