I get the feeling with the general high standard many fans hold this show to (reasonable or not)and months of hype that we can expect alot more criticism/complaining from the fan base.

And that storyboard was quite funny in that Flutter's expressions were so simplistic, she looked more like something right out of Dexter's Laboratory or Danny Phantom. The animated version preserves her Tareme Eyes better.

Also, curiously enough, the Tareme Eyes and soft voice make Flutterbitch look incredibly smug and full of Sugary Malice. It was kind of awesome. "Because you looked so peaceful" "I... What?"

I've seen thousands of complaints on the subject.

Anyway, anyone else like the fact that all of discord's visions from episode 1 turned out to be total crap? People were thinking "ah, out of context vision and a tough moral decision". Nope. He made it all up.

Given his trollish nature, I figured it made more sense that the visions were B.S.

For all the complaining that's been going on, I enjoyed the episode. Aside from the weak ending, it was comedic gold; Tom the rock, Flutterbitch, Spike as the new Rainbow Dash, the exploding chocolate...

Would it really be THAT bad living in Discord's world? No one there (except Twilight) seemed particularly unhappy.

I'm not defending Discord, I just think they should've gone a bit further in showing that Discord's world was completely bad.

Especially weird when you think that, in essense, Equestria is SUPPOSED to be like this. (what with him being the previous ruler and all, and Equestria naturally becoming chaotic when left alone)

Actually Discord broke the rules in very specific ways. Had he completely destroyed them, you would have learned the true meaning of Chaos: a Quark Soup, a Grey Goo, utter meaninglessness... Toning it down a little, you'd get The Eye Of Terror from warhammer 40k. A world of no predictability is a world of terror, where one moment the sky is pink and another your guts go flying out of your stomach.

It frustrates me that fans get shit done whereas Hasbro... doesn not, bro.

@"WHY ISN'T LUNA BACK YET?! BAWWWWW!!!": Remember when it was stated this was originally meant to be season 1's finale? It's still technically part of season 1. Lauren said she'd be back when Season 2 officially started. This was NOT officially season 2. It's more like season 1.5. For fuck's sake, keep your pants on. She'll be here when she gets here.

Really, all of this wouldn't have happened if without the school field trip. Celly has only herself to blame.

I can't freaking believe you guys are STILL blaming the CMC. Celestia clearly said the reason Discord broke out was because the ownership of the elements of harmony changed. If anything, the CMC's arguement was a RESULT of Discord's unsealing, NOT THE CAUSE.

Word Of God says that this episode was always intended to be the Season 2 premiere (too bad, because I think it would have been a great finale), but it was made during the production of Season 1, which makes it hard to determine if your point still stands.

It does explain why the remastered opening didn't show up yet, though.

Which is really too bad. Sure, the episode was hurt by its rushed pacing, but I really don't see why people were surprised. Part 1 was just as rushed, if not more so.

While I like the adventure episodes, I'm looking forward to the slice of life ones simply because the fanbase might hopefully calm down.
