Yeah, I was wondering why he didn't like, y'know TELEPORT away. He seems to be able to traverse tremendous distances using that power. So why'd he forget he could do it?

Remember, when it failed, earlier, it got to just before the moment that the rainbow would have fired.

he had plenty of time to go "click" and get the fuck out of dodge. He started going "No, this cannot be" a good 5 odd seconds before he was hit

I think that ray is homing. He could have tried teleporting though... But yeah, defeating that guy is mostly about blinding/numbing him and making him Forgot I Could Fly. Otherwise it'd be impossible.

Maybe the elements root their target to the spot or something while they're charging up, that might explain the weird symbols that flew out of the elements at Discord before the big rainbow beam fired at him

Well, after the Rainbow actually hit him, it created a massive World Healing Wave, so Discord might have been caught in that anyway. But yeah, doesn't explain why he didn't fight back or try to dodge or something. That's my main beef with the episode. And it wouldn't have been so bad if not for the fact that it wouldn't have been tough to fix; just show him trying to block it, or dodging or something.

Yeah, while I could understand the "Deer in headlights" reason, I kinda wanted to see Discord trying to fight back or escape, then either failing or managing to partly succeed until one pivotal moment where he's distracted.

Discord: *managing to barely hold back the Elements of Harmony* I... will... not... lose... again!

Spike: Hey, Discord! Rarity said she wanted to give something back!

Discord: Huh? *is smacked by Tom the rock, causing him to lose focus and get friendshipped to stone*

If he can do that, WHY DIDN'T HE JUST TELEPORT OUT OF THE FLIPPIN' ROCK ENCASEMENT TO BEGIN WITH 1000 YEARS AGO?!

Celestia couldn't produce a teleport-proof stone power, because she said he was too powerful!

I hope that doesn't happen. I've seen the Minecraft community react to every update as RUINED FOREVER! I really do not want to see the same thing happen to this one.
