@ginger: Well I really liked it. Cool visuals and atmosphere, plus I liked the way it tied in to the Alien movies.

Wow, I just realized that all this time, I had my headphones plugged into the wrong jack, so the sound was commming from the built in speakers. No wonder the quality was so terrible.

@Ginger: No, the alien ship Prometheus discovers isn't the same as the one from Alien, although it was created by the same race. So while there are definite connections between the movies, Prometheus doesn't lead directly into Alien.

No, not a downer ending. Two of the crew survive out of about fifteen, but instead of returning to earth choose to follow logs from the alien ship to try and find their home planet.
