@Seraphem Well, I did confirm that it was infected. They had to cut off 1/4 to 1/3 of my toenail, then dig out the infected areas.

Well, they had to turn on the television to distract me, create a makeshift drape so I couldn't watch them while they were doing it, I was hyperventilating at one point, I was apparently very gray at one point, and I don't think I would have made it through if my mother weren't there.

But, ultimately, I'm glad they did it.

I got an application of painkiller, but was conscious the whole time.

And the thought of having my toenail removed made me nervous.

I'm pretty sure I would have done something to make them mess up if I could have seen what they were doing.
