@Seraph: Eh, I admit that I'm sort of biased towards the thought of them being able to have a child of their 'own'. It seems sweet to me, is all. Of course given my fanon on the way pony souls work in general(Souls are free-floating entities and can choose a body, or at least be called to one if they're unaware as a soul) it's not impossible.

For the sake of any media I create I go the adoption route; when I eventually get around to exploring having children in the Hoops and Dumbbell blog I'd like to give some attention to the adoption process, and show what it's like for a gay couple trying to adopt. You know, educate the readers a little bit.

also for the curious, the species I was referring to earlier is the Bonobo, which is an ape, not a monkey. My bad.

@Kegi It's certainly a cool idea, but the mere fact that such a thing is possible could lead to all sorts of crazy mad science with creating life. In fact, creating life in just about any setting outside the natural means is usually a recipe for disaster.

I also totally want to coin the term "equinculus" now. Too bad actually using it anywhere would be incredibly confusing.

True enough... well, it's not like they can artificially create a soul, so it would still be a pony soul no matter what sort of body they make. Maybe the soul would reject it if it weren't pony enough?

Of course that would still mean you could make a monster, and call a monster's soul to it.

Or in Lyra's case, create a human.

Marston, if we 'despised" people for not liking the same stuff we did..would we still keep ginger around...hell would ANY of us be around.

Note that there is a Come To Life spell, I'd imagine if you refined that and turned it into an enchantment you could give anything life.

@Bad "Life" in that context only means moving under it's own power. What we're talking about here is creating sapient beings, which is usually a big no no in most of the fantasy genre.

I have a problem with how I react to people pointing out flaws in my arguements, and I can never back them up either, so I kinda feel like I'm being hated sometimes, not because of someone disagreeing with me {How dare they have a diffrent opinon then me!}, but because..... I don't even know why, honestly. The point is, thanks for making me feel like I'm not hated over every little thing.
