The only thing that makes Rarity seem to not be an Alpha Bitch when she was younger is her flashback. Maybe we could have a flashback episode that retcons her flashback, by meeting a pony she bullied when they were young.

"Overrated" should not, and should never be a category of episode evaluation. It makes me feel guilty for liking anything on those lists for no reason, and it's basically the same argument haters use to get at this show. Sheesh.

and yes there is a HUGE difference between Overrated, and "I did not enjoy this as much as most other people" just becuase you dind't like something as much as everyone else seems to does not mean it's overrated, just that YMMV.

Mars, stop beating yourself up. We're not telling you you're dumb or wrong. We're just explaining why they're acting that way. To me, it always seemed that the reaction the CMC had was overplayed to prove the point. It shouldn't have been as major as it was, but it kind of works; Ponyville's not exactly a calm or logical town, after all.

@ Luna Eclipsed. Eh, I don't know, I'm just not really a fan of it.

Overrated: "to rate or appraise too highly;" I don't see how it's a poor word choice. Maybe I just don't see the negative connotations.

I'm going to agree that overrated is a bad word choice. It's basically saying that you liked the episode less than most people, but throws in the implication that they're all wrong for liking it so much.

umm Luna eclipsed DOES top favorite episode lists a lot, back during the online voting for the 'mare'-athon, LE won the top spot out of all season 1 and the first half of season 2, and it's at least in the top three of all the other polls.

Really people love it not so much for the story itself in it, but just for the shear hammy epicness of THE PRINCESS OF THE NIGHT
