@con I don't think I could get into the style of Beowulf.

I'm not one for poetry

Epic Movie, or any of its derivatives. There was nothing better to watch on TV at the time.

I remember when it came out, I seriously considered going to see it. But I decided that it sounded stupid and I didn't go after all. I definitely dodged a bullet there.

@con seriously, in Earth vs The Flying Saucers, Harryhausen had to paint the lines on the saucers so they were the same colour as the sky for EVERY. SINGLE. FRAME.

That's the kind of insane awesomeness I WISH I had the patience to emulate [lol]

I like poetry. Of you don't, that's OK.

I will still recommend that you read The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock. I'm a little embarrassed that it actually made me cry a little the first time I read it, and it was in public.

[up] Plus the cyclops thing. That's cool.

The worst movie I have ever had the privilege of sitting through has to be Ferngully 2. I watched it over and over when I was young. Why? I have no idea. At all. I caught a few clips of it more recently, and I felt the horrible pain of pure badness melting the nostalgia goggles right off my face. It takes a lot to do that.

Because it was beautiful. It sounds corny, I know, but it really made a lot of sense to me.

And it's just one poem. You can read it quickly.

[up] Oh, and The Magic Railroad. Fuck that movie, man. Even as a little kid, I knew it sucked.

Nonsense! Hellfire is automaticalyl better because it sounds good in German too. The German translation of Friends On The Other Side just sounds eird.

@story: Wait... do you go on YouTube and listen to various translations of Disney songs in languages you don't understand? Cause I thought I was the only one that did that.

Gonna repost because I failed to format this right and it moved onto next page once I got it right

5 days of gaming promise,
and awesome new things,
We kept our butts sat at home,
Time off from work to see,
But the reveals are running out,
And our patience has become low,
And even though I love my console,
It’s getting kind of old…

The time has come to debate who won,
and who lost the show,
But it’s also time to say goodbye,
It’s E3 we must clean,
What console should I pick?,
What did everybody choose?,
Should I buy this new sequel?,
I haven’t got a clue!

E3 wrap up, E3 wrap up!,
Let’s finish our digital cheer
E3 wrap up, E3 wrap up!,
‘Cause tomorrow Summer’s here!
‘Cause tomorrow Summer’s here!

Bringing home the demos,
A Publisher’s job begins.
And clearing all the gloomy press, \ To let the good news in,
We move the stands,
And send our employees home!
When the sun comes up.
It’ll be crunch time for all!

(chorus)

Little developers hibernate,
under the joypads,
We wake up all the CEO’s,
So quietly and nice,
We help them gather up previews,
Fix the betas up,
We welcome back our favourite titles,
So the IP’s can grow!

(chorus)

No easy task to clear the board,
Planting new ideas,
With proper time and funding,
New games we will see,
Shooters, puzzlers, indie games,
Colourful platformers too!,
We must work so very hard,
It’s just so much to do!

(Chorus)

Now that I know what they plan,
I have to pick my base,
Fanboy with all of my heart,
Tough task ahead I face,
Will there be new games for my system?
Or do I trade in instead?
I wanna belong so I must,
Preorder today!
Preorder today!
E3 wrap up, E3 wrap up!,
Let’s finish our digital cheer!,
E3 wrap up, E3 wrap up!
‘Cause tomorrow Summer’s here!,
E3 wrap up, E3 wrap up!
‘Cause tomorrow summer’s here!
‘Cause tomorrow summer’s here!
‘Cause tomorrow summer’s here!

What about Secret Of NIMH 2? That one's supposed to be pretty wretched too.

Having seen it... I can definitely understand why... but I actually do have a certain liking for it for some reason [lol]

The original Clash Of The Titans used good old fashioned stop motion effects

Look, I saw the movie, and I can assure you that it had a guy in a Godzilla suit.

[up][up]Oh, I watched that on TV once. It made me angry.

[up] They also used stop motion for other things.

But I gotta go now, you guys. See you later. Metaphorically, I mean.

I know but ginger was acting like the use of stop motion makes it impossible for them to use other effects too.

@Jenny That's cute, and certainly not nearly as mean spirited as I expected it to be, considering how this E3 turned out. Good job!

I was supposed to go to bed 10 minutes ago, but screw it.

It's just that as a kid, I thought it was awesome that the main character was a girl in the original. That was something you don't see very often unless it's a princess movie or directed solely at girls. I wanted Mrs. Brisby to be the star.

Also, it sucked.

Not really, I'm just thinking back to that movie, and I can't remember any godzilla suit effects... then again, I think I'm getting Clash of the Titans crossed over with Jason and the Argonauts in my mind [lol]

@con not just a girl, but a single, middle aged mother.

Brisby truly is awesome, and she'sthe kind of character I want as the hero when the setting is dark and depressing
