Well he did say something positive about the villains, though I disagreed. I found Ravenna more "Petty" than "Compelling." Lady, one king stole you from your mother and abused you for most of your life. That is not sufficient justification to ravage who-knows-how-many other kingdoms just because you don't like men.

@Librarian Okay, compelling was the wrong word. Interesting that's the word. It felt like the filmakers cared more about the villains than the heroes

I felt more genuine sympathy for the characters involved when the queen's brother died than when The dwarf dies

Looking back at some of the post I didn't realize this thread hated "literature" and the "classics" so much.

Wait if MLD just did Almost there. That means they are doing my favorite all time disney villain song: Friends On The Other Side (With Hellfire and Poor Unfortunate Souls tied for second).

Well some "Classic" writers aren't really that good if you think about it :P

Many of them cannot compare to the greatness of Pterry Pratchett or Roald Dahl or Paul Jennings :P

I love literature and classics. I'm the nerd who reads them for fun!

It's just that saying LOTR isn't literature is not right. What about Beowulf, guys?

@story They wouldn't have used suits. The original Clash Of The Titans used good old fashioned stop motion effects

I love the way that Harryhausen style stuff looks. It moves like in a dream.
