Just saw an episode of Young Justice where De Lancie voices Mister Twister. Between that and My little Pony De Lancie may be doing more VO work in the future.

Imagine if, at the end of Return of Harmony part 2, the mane cast collected the elements of Harmony and Discord said, "Well that was fun. Catch you later." Then he left. Upon reflection the girls realize that because of everything that's happened their friendship has been strengthened. Then they start wondering if this whole thing was an elaborate Xanatos Gambit to make them better friends. That's essentially how Q operates on TNG. At least when he's being helpful. A lot of the time he's in it for the lulz.

Yes Q was like this, godlike pain in the ass but somehow helpfull at the end. Well later, in first episodes he was just pain. And after series finale he stop being antagonist (it not like he later show up in Voyager or something :~ ) and become friend to Picard.
Depends on interpretation.

There's a greater evil than Discord, and his trolling around is deliberately engineered to make ponies able to better handle crisis. Unfortunately many ponies are too mentally fragile to handle his trolling.
