As a small child I learned to walk while reading by keeping my surroundings in my peripheral vision. As a teenager I leveled that skill up to reading while driving. As an adult I decided to not be suicidal.

I like walk around room when I'm making up plot of something or worldbuilding.
Because he know I'm going to go out in this plane and I'm going to remove one of His creations from His universe.
I'm actually a pretty big pacer myself. Sometimes I satisfy it by taking the train cross-town to catch a movie and then walking home. It's a great way to think of story ideas.

I find pacing to be helpful in my thinking processes.
I litterally can only think of stuff when I'm walking around. It can make writing sort of a pain.
