@Crowfall: G1 Starscream has terrible aim anyway, Animated Starscream would sand the floor with his filings.

...Ahahahaha, that reminds me of some Transformers/Pony corssover parodies, where some Cybertronians end up trans-scanning some ponies and literally joining the herd.

That Death Battle... had a very high Holy Shit Quotient. And you know what? It's entirely plausible. From the moment it was establised that Dash could break Mach 5 and Mach 10 after a Sonic Rainboom... an F14 just doesn't stand a chance...

Plus, mechanical plane vs weather controlling pony. All Dashie really needed to do was set up a series of lightning traps. The fight wouldn't have been nearly as epic that way, though.

Nope. Lighting goes right through a plane's carcass without affecting those inside. It's a Faraday Cage. Though I guess if you hit it iften enough and in quick succession you might make it overheat.

Required Secondary Powers, guys. Like Sonic, Rainbow Dash must have superb reflexes and above-average physical strength and toughness to withstand supersonic speeds, even if said speeds are achieved by magic. It's not too much of a stretch to presume that she can outfly Starscream.

Besides, all that lightning might cause enough high-energy interference to completely glitch out Starscream's less-robust sensors.
