@ ginger, yup, watch the first Showmare scene, RD's wings are flat before pinkie comes out, then the next scene after she takes the stage..wingboner.

Pinkie's number was hilarious just for all the blatantly reviled looking expressions on everyone as she did it. And then Spike enthusiastically clapping alone.

The only thing funnier may have been if they had AJ and RD do a feuding number for their sides ("Oh, I'm little bit countryyyy" "And I'm a little bit rock n' rollllll"). I kinda like they didn't dwell too much on them setting the two sides against each other though.

As for Sonic Rainboom, I think Rarity was acting too over the top to really hate her. She looked hilarious in that garb. As said she also got the point herself in the end rather than needing someone to lecture her about it. I admit that's a decent little depth to her that's occasionally easy to ignore, she's not as stubborn or ignorant about her flaws as the others can sometimes be, she just sometimes does know quite how to get around them (eg. Sisterhooves Special).

It helps into liking her really. I tend to find Hypocrite characters rather insufferable for example, Rarity on the other hand is too aware of this trait to quite get irritating about it.

To be truthful, the songs are one part of the show I'm not that big on, I like Pinkie's because they are so deliberately silly and annoying, most of the others are kinda cheesy and played with dead sincerity. They also tend to drag on a bit too much, the Flim Flam Brothers' number was kinda fun at the start, but kept going and going....

Ah come on, you'd LOVE it if it was Pinkie's theme.

Actually I could kinda see Pinkie singing that tune to wind up AJ.
