You reallly shouldn't Ginger. Even though it has quite a few villains that I think you would enjoy, and other things I know you would like, it is still a Shoenen series, with all the elements that annoy you.

It's really not worth it if you jump in and find that it's not fun at all for you.

I really need to check out Black lagoon sometime. It sounds like something I'd probably like. I do know this little piece of trivia though: Apparently, in the english dub, the charector "Revy" is voiced by the same actress who voiced Gilda in mlp fim, and I've heard that both charectors have a few uncanny similaritys to eatchother in personality at least.

jesus christ, over 8k pages? I knew this was popular, but damn...

Anyway, I've finally given in and started watching this. I normally wouldn't have given it a chance, but then I learned Lauren Faust was in charge of it, and anything connected to the Powerpuff Girls has to be worth a shot.

Was disappointed with how they handled the great and powerful Trixie. I was expecting Twilight to pull something like "I'm better than you at being humble!" but that would sorta kinda break the Aesop, so oh well.

TTGL was never really able to hold my interest. I mean, sure, it's memetic as hell, and the over the top bits are fun, but the rest is pretty standard and not that interesting, IMO. It's one of the few shows that I'll gladly watch random clips of, but never want to sit down and watch a full episode.

If it weren't for the obnoxious personality of Luffy, I think Ginger would love One Piece. Outside of the very beginning, the protagonists almost never win in a Curb-Stomp Battle against a major antagonist. Every battle is won by the skin of their teeth, there are plenty of times when a hero just flat-out loses, and it is made quite clear that the heroes' abilities are quite low in terms of Super Weight, but teamwork, determination, and creativity get them through. It's just that Luffy is Ginger's least favorite type of character outside of smug heroes, and he'd have trouble getting past that.

@marston: There's actually a few crossovers between voice actors. If I'm not mistaken, Prince Blueblood shares a voice actor with stylish gunslinger Mr. Chang, and Ashleigh Ball voices one of the most tragically messed up children I've ever seen on television. I haven't seen the english dub yet, but FIM has made me more eager to see it.

@storyyeller: One of the pages had Discord mind raping one of the mane 6 at one point. I can't remember if it was Beware the Silly Ones, Not So Harmless, or something along those lines. I don't want to check, because it will just end in an endless Wiki Walk.

Also, for fav anime, I can't believe I completely forgot to mention Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei and maybe Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt? Still not sure about that one.
