and i loved TTGL, but 1. I toatly wouldn't expect Ginger to like it, I know better, and I can see how the fanbois could get annoying, I like it, i think it was amazing, I do not think anyone who does't is an idiot, they just have differnte tastes.

(shudder) I hate dances. I'm pretty claustrophobic myself, so I can completely sympathize.

Though, I did bust some awesome (read:hyperenergetic and spastic) moves in college during a filmshoot.

It's annoying cuz I already wasted my money on buying the TTGL DVD boxset. (I assumed I was just having a weird day and that I'd get used to it eventually.)

I mean... EVERYONE (not a hyperbole. EVERYONE I know in real life who's seen it) thinks it's the greatest piece of fiction they've ever seen. So why WOULDN'T I assume I'd love it...

I had Hype Aversion toward Babylon 5 and some Hype Backslash, but I still like that series. But I still like, just not as much as few other Sci Fi shows.

(I have feeling what ginger have toward TTGL, but I also had such feeling to most of anime).

To test some sort of social pyschological thing and see if we can get random strangers to join us. Or something. I really don't know, actually.

Moreso an end of the year thing.

Ginger, I don't share many people opinions of Gurren. If anything it's alright. Now Giant Robo on the other hand, I loved.

@Ginger: Why did you go out and buy it? Shouldn't you have tried to screen a few episodes first?

Also, I've been reading "Ponies make war" recently. It's quite good IMO. And also, Ginger was wrong about one thing {No offense intended Ginger}: The whole "Over powered Twilight" thing? That's her recently created Evil side that took over her. As in, she's a legit threat against the rest of the protagonist's, and not just Twilight curb-stomping the antagonist's.

@Mio I did. I thought Kamina was the most skin peelingly frustrating, obnoxious, overated, piece of shit character ever put to celuloid.

but I also figured that I was just having an off day and that I'd EVENTUALLY grow to like it (I was desperate for something to watch and I was being bombarded in EVERY direction by people ordering me to watch it because it's awesome)

@mars I mean later on in the fic. Twi becomes as powerful as a god

I'm still reading One Piece atm. I'm sort of laughing at the translations...it's been directly translated from Japanese, so in English, the dialogue can appear very wooden and obvious. But I'm still greatly enjoying it.

@Ginger: Even though I liked TTGL, I also think that Kamina was one of the most stupidly overrated characters in the history of anime. The series was definitely better after his death.

@Ginger: Unlikely I think. It's just not the sort of show that I think you would like. It does have some interesting villains but I don't think they would quiet reach your standards.

@Applelight: If your interested the anime dub is actually pretty good and has a better localized dialogue.

I think TTGL was what created my standards. I wasn't NEARLY so picky about stuff before I encountered that anime.

I just don't want to run the risk of being annoyed the way I was annoyed at Kamina EVER again (he traumatized me)

While we are on the subject of Japanese media, I recently ordered Gundam SEED, Princess Tutu, and Code Geass R2 DVD sets. Any suggestions on which I should watch first?

Great setting

Fun concepts

Great fights.

On subject of anime from all titles mentioned on last pages I only don't dislike Death Note.

I vote Princess Tutu. (Partly because it's the only one of the three that I've seen myself.)
