Sci-Fi Races: I've only seen the first 13 episodes of the
Doctor Who reboot, but I really like the Slytheen and how the members of the race we've met have a more unique villainous plot than
Take Over the World. The fart jokes and headache-inducing flashes during transformation are less appealing, but a small price to pay for good villains.
The
Wallops are pretty generic
Proud Warrior Race Guys, but I love them all the same.
In all respects, the
Transformers should bug me, given they're meant To Sell Toys and a technologically superior, gigantic, more powerful race compared to us
Puny Earthlings.
Rule Of Cool and
Rule of Fun probably help mitigate that for me, but the fact that they're planet is engulfed in a civil war and they suffer heavy casualties no matter the series probably also make them sympathetic in my eyes. Also,
Depending on the Writer, you get some seriously lovable characters.
Like Chadaman, I can't think of any I hate at the moment. I don't watch/play too too much Sci-Fi.
Edit: Almost forgot, add the
zerg to that list of favorites.
