I'll stick with Beauty and the Beast

probably the most flawless disney movie ever (though it ain't my favourite)

Yeah, Beauty and the Beast is a fantastic, fantastic movie.

@Pannic Though I will say that I think Be Our Guest is horribly overated

Oh yeah, that's not my favorite song in the movie, myself.

The stage version added a neat song, though - "If I Can't Love Her."

I'll make a man out of you.

I love The Mob Song myself.

Does that count as a villain song? I'd say it's either that or a Crowd Song)

I don't know, Gaston isn't really villainous or planning anything villainous at that point, so probably not.

I like I'll Make a Man Out of You because it's both ridiculous and catchy.

Yeah, the Mob Song counts as a Villain Song. In the stage version, Gaston gets another song - "Me."

Yeah, Reflection is nice, and Make a Man Out of You is practically memetic. Though somehow I get the feeling that Mulan doesn't quite function as a musical... some of the Disney movies seem like they put the songs in less because they advance the plot or character and more because "Alright, this is a Disney animated movie and we need our songs."

But I guess if they're good songs and they make the film more enjoyable, that's good enough.

3, jenny D'awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww, ok I yeah I noticed the slight derpness in the eyes but it's not bad, overall really really cute, keep up working on it, can't wait to see more.

So, I missed out on a chat about Season three wishlist's since I was at school. I think I'll momentarily bring it back up. The things I want to see in season three are:

• Chrysailis and the changlings returning.

• A new villain who doesn't play with the Idiot ball at the last second, and who the mane 6 would have to use something other then the Elements of harmony to defeat {Which I thought was gonna happen in the season two finale when Chrysailis was introduced, but I was wrong}.

• More episodes focusing on the mane 6 together. Kinda like "Best night ever" and sort of "The last round-up" and "Dragonshy".

• An episode focusing on Scootaloo.

• Trixe returning.

• Gilda returning.

There's also The World's Greatest Criminal Mind that I loved

Pannic: Well, I'll Make a Man Out of You was a training montage that did advance the story (even if not be a huge amount, it allowed the movie to get past the training without feeling awkward or drawn out). There are little three second bits that are pretty telling about the characters too.

yeah his earlier ones were a bit off, specially in the lip synch, but he's really improved a lot over time.

Be Our Guest

...now THAT was a pointless song

@ginger: Not to mention it introduced way to many animate objects. Are you telling me that all of those plates and forks are people? How many servants did this castle have?

@Ginger worth noting, Originally Be Our Guest was going to be sung to Maurice when he first enters the castle, but quite late in development the directors decided that it was better off being sung to Belle

It does kind of have a point, as the song is used to cheer Belle up a bit and make her realize the Castle isn't a horrible place entirely.

My only problem with Beauty and the Beast, is that because of the pacing, you get an uneven spread of songs, like you get "Something There" and "Beauty and the Beast" right after one another (and "Human Again" between those 2 if you watch the special edition version)

Oh yeah, Playing With The Big Boys Now, Plagues and Through Heavens Eyes

Those songs were pretty awesome too.

Big Boys would be an awesome song for the Mean 6 to sing

Hmmm..good question.

Well when they change back at the end it's more of a transformation, so I'd say that they became those objects. Which raises the question of where all the original furnishings went.

Actually, they were probably trashed by the Beast in one of his fits of rage. New question. What happened to the people who were in cabinets or shelves when they changed back?
