@Lurker there are loads of Ensemble Darkhorses that I like that the manestreamn likes (Doloures Ed for example)

but when the character DOESN'T appeal to me and they have a large following... I just feel weird becasue I don't get it [lol]

I like Pinkie/Twilight too. Come to think of it, I happen to like alot of mane 6 pairings, as well as Lyra/Bonbon and Vinyl/Octavia. Twidash and Pinkiedash might be some of my favorite pairings, and Twishy is cute too.

@Seraphem: After seeing a really hilarious and non-explicit drawing on Ponibooru, I'm kinda tempted to agree with you.[lol]

@Steve: That sucks man. I hope that things get better soon.

I think anyone who so much as looks at a random forum anywhere on the internet will realise there is more to the show than meets the eye.

Maybe Twilight appeals to me because she is a character type seen frequently but a rare example that avoids heavy Sue-ish qualities or ending up utterly bland. In basic terms a character type I usually loathe that manages to be very sympathetic and endearing. Twilight is basically what I wanted Sally Acorn to be like for example.

The only thing I dislike about Twi is her power (so consider how much I must love her to find it in my heart to place her so high on my favs list)

but it's already been established that I'm alone in disliking how powerful she is, so I'll stop right there

@Ginger I have trouble understanding certain fandom things, too. For example, I found the whole Derpy phenomenon odd, if amusing, for the longest time. Then TLR happened, and that little bit of characterization she was given made her click for me, even if it wasn't in the same way that most fans see her (either as a tragic, hardworking single parent, or a loveable, muffin-loving living disaster area, sometimes both).

I like Lyra a lot, too, but her fanon interpretations still baffle me. I just love how happy and excitable she looks.

@Ginger: Since Twilight's magic fails as often as it works I must disagree with the power levels discussion. At least until Season 3.

In brighter news I watched Tangled tonight. Good movie despite me having technical issues (Dear netflix: Please replace your DVDs kthxbai)

I sometimes find her power a cop out as well, telekinetic stuff tends to make physical power redundant to often. It's just it's kinda subtle and she gets too many fallible moments to be too detrimental with it.

Regardign that Whose Line Is It Anyway video, 'Clip Clop Bang Bang' sounds a bit weird if you're a brony.

@Lurker Derpy still hasn't clicked for me.

I honestly couldn't care less about her.

@Story: I know, just about all the songs sound terrible in that context. tongue

As for Derpy, I almost like her entirely just because I love the fact that the fans can make a character out of something so insignificant. Although my favorite background pony is still Lyra.

well I gotta head to bed...stupid work days...stupid corporate visitors..

love how they can spend weeks bitching at me to get stuff done and out of the stock room, even after I can give them mathematical proof that the work they want done is impossible in the amount time/manpower I'm given to work with, they just keep yelling "Get it done" without caring to hear what is required to get it done....then soon as they hear some corporate visitor is stopping by, BOOM overloaded with manpower and they are dragging everyone they can back to help......and bitching that it's not gong to be done in time because there is such a backlog......which wouldn't exist if they just bucking LISTENED to me and assigned the required amount of man-hours/work in the first place.

Good movie despite me having technical issues (Dear netflix: Please replace your DVDs kthxbai)

I watched it on Netflix Instant an the stream kept randomly degrading to low quality. So you can't win either way.

@Ginger And that's fine. I couldn't care less about Octavia or Vinyl, outside of their designs being pretty cool, and I love Owloysius way more than I probably should, as far as pets go (though Angel is still my favorite).
