The only thing they could do to botch it would be to cancel it again. I doubt that's happening.

Most of us young Americans grew up with the block. And TOM was awesome.

[up][up][up] That's why I said not fully buried in a grave. They still have a few awesome and worhtwhile shows.

IIRC Toonami was a channel. I didn't really care. Unless it showed Samurai Jack. Did it?

It did. I think.

It was actually a block on Cartoon Network.

For about 80% of american anime fans in there 20's Toonami was waht first intrucde them to it. It was nothing but kickass good Western and eastern animation every day.

Toonami played an important part in many of us animation goers.

[down]Not in America, it aired on afternoon weekdays, and later on Saturday evening.

Then I guess I watched Samurai Jack on it occasionally. Now I just watch it on Cartoon Network if it's on.

I distinctly remember it being it's own channel. At least over here.

Boom.

I never cared much for Toonami. Even when they taked that block, all shows stayed.

ummm bad Toonami WAS on CN, it was a block of shows that on CN that were all either anime, or very well made, action oriented western animation.

It was also what created adult swim, the first AS like feature on CN was them airing the unedited version of the anime from toonami.

you silly english people

In the UK and Ireland it actually was a channel for about four years. (ninja'd on that part it seems)

I'm actually not so much overjoyed as shocked that that April Fools thing actually panned out. Still it's probably one the few things I have deep nostalgia for, so I'll be watching again to see how it goes.

Yay, Toonami... why are we cheering?
Yeah, Andromeda is heading for you. You got over 9000 years until it collides.

yeah can see why your meh if it was achannel, no way they kept the same standards trying to fill a 24/7 roster.

Well, given that I can't watch tv anymore, this doesn't really mean much to me [lol]

Didn't watch Toonami much, personally.

Only things I remember watching on it were Zatch Bell! and a show I can't spell properly, and I didn't see much of those.

Toonami was liked mostly because of anime?

I couldn't care less.
