[up][up] Agreed. Rule of Funny!

I've never done a page topper, so I don't know what to do. I'll just remind you to watch Kind Hearts and Coronets one more time, I guess.

@ginger: Let's face it, a lot of medias put loads of charm and attention to their villains, since there is a lot more freedom in writing them. I get the idea that is how some Villain Protagonist stories actually come up, they don't intentionally make it that way, it's just their heart is with them a lot more than the boring goody goodies (eg. Pokémon, I don't think Team Rocket were supposed to take over, they just ended up interesting the writers a lot more than Ash catching monsters every episode).

"Media" is already plural.

I'm a terrible person.

Why would you enjoy a boring invincible hero. It boggles the mind.

THAT's what's keeping me from watching the Princess Bride. The fact that 1.) I haven't heard anything about it's antagonists. and 2.) The hero seems unstoppable.

Is it as bad as a Kurt Vimmer movie? (rolls eyes)

What, for using proper pluralization?

I suck at grammar anyway. One mistake won't make much of an improvement.

For correcting a grammatical error? I think not. The English language has enough abuse as it is.
Am I hurting? Am I sad? Should I stay or should I go?

I think that Vizzini was a pretty good villain, but only for his comedic potential.

@ginger: And you're in such a great place to judge it, from the standpoint of never having seen it.

And yeah, I feel like a jerk whenever I can't overcome the urge to correct people.

So for the record, medium = singular, media = plural.

Just getting that out of my system. I've been taught that it's rude to correct people, but I can't help it.

Some people need correcting. As frankensteinian as it is, English is a wonderful language and deserves to be treated with respect. She can dance if you let her, but she'll stumble about like she's got no feet if you force her to.

I admit what I like about the ponies is that, amist their competence, they are bumblers and are challenged by the adversities they face. I mean even the ones that have shades of invinciblity are Iron Butt Monkey characters.

And don't worry about the correction, condottierra. I can't stay mad at that avatar. ;P

I really need to watch the Princess Bride sometime. I'm pretty sure that I found a VHS copy of it, and I have a DVD/VHS combo, so why haven't I watched it yet? Probably cause I'm an idiot like that.tongue

HAHAHA! One of the enemies in PF 6 is called Spit Fire. There's also one called Pipsqueak.[lol]
Yeah, Andromeda is heading for you. You got over 9000 years until it collides.

@con You watch stuff you think you'll enjoy.

Do you all think I'd enjoy it?

I like my avatar, too. smile Just add glasses, and everybody will say, "Hey, she looks like you!" I'm not even kidding.

[up] Yes. I think you would. Just until you do see it, don't bad mouth it. You have to earn that right.

Eh, not really. Your thing is with villains, but the thing is you've got your tastes very narrowly tailored. Princess Bride isn't about action or any of that stuff, it's about being funny.

@Ginger: Like I said before, The Princess Bride is basically Fractured Fairy Tale that deliberately follows the "hero saves the day and gets the princess" formula, but fills it with all sorts of subversions and whatnot. The point of the movie is basically seeing how it messes around with the formula.

As otherwise noted, it's a comedy first and foremost.

And Inigo is the coolest character anyway. He's definitely the funniest.

[up] I would have said "him and me."

@ginger Actually, the second quote should have "I" instead of "me."
