Expecting profound character-based drama in a show where five of the main six characters fall for Obvious Traps is a bit much.

And I realized the only reason Discord didn't corrupt Twilight was because taking her horn away was corruption enough.

I know, that's why I'm trying to refrain from it.

As much as I like drama and all...

(I just love it when fictional characters break down in tears. Delicious tragic tears.)

Also the fact that breaking them in more detail would probably traumatize the primary demographic. Last I checked, most young girls don't enjoy watching their favorite characters suffer large amounts of emotional trauma.

Also, my theory is that the reason Discord didn't Mind-controll Twilight is because he wants to break her without cheating, basically for the sake of giving Celestia a giant middle finger by screwing her best student. All the other ponies turned evil due to mind control that Twilight doesn't know about. She'll think that her friends have actually changed, and then she'll break the friendship of her own free will, which is Discord's real plan.

Hey guys, I think that the Everfree Forest, in episode 2, will be the same as it's been throughout the series.

Jayson Thiesson said in his audio interview that no one tells the Everfree what to do, and that probably includes discord.

Discord created the Everfree forest, which is why the ponies can't control it

@Takashi: Discord's face in the third to last panel literally made me cry with laughter. I have no idea why that comic is so funny.

I can't help but wonder The episode is called "the return of harmony". But If Discord is so dangerous Is he really going to let the ponies get the elements?

The reason Discord didn't "turn" Twilight is because he's doing so through her friends. Remember, he turned everypony else into the opposite of their element — honest Applejack became a liar, charitable Rarity became greedy, so on and so forth.

What's Twilight's element? Magic. (as stated by Discord himself)

And in the MLP-verse, Friendship == Magic.

So if Discord wants to turn Twilight into her opposite element, he'd have to turn her into not having friends... which he does by getting the other five.

I'm wondering if Discord is whatever turned Luna evil, because if he is it's kinda weird they didn't mention it immediately. But at the same time having another ancient evil in the show would be redundant.

With the added bonus of sticking it to Celestia. Twilight is her best pupil after all.

I loled too I don't think so.

I supected the same thing. But various reasons dissuaded me.

1. If you compare Discord's corruption you will notice that it's against their wills. While Nighmate Moon was (at least in part her own fault).

2. Secondly corrupted main six are grey (becuase their eleemnts were corrupted) while nightmare moon had a kind of armor and of coure she lacked grey.

3. Luna trapped Discord before her corruption.
