Wait. Discord was the previous RULER of Equestria? Where did Celestia and Luna come from then? They're not like any other ponies that we've seen. I could buy them coming from a family of gods that created Equestria in the first place, but that line seems to imply that at one point they were just ordinary citizens of Equestria

Discord is never interested in hurting anybody (physicaly) because if he actualy kill somepony he will have one less victims to play with it less fun for him.

It more like they come to Equestria from somewhere else and overtrow D Iscord. (At least for me),

But what with rest of the world? Maybe it was also ruled by other mosnters or overloard, one big Crapshack World. And from some other places (heavens?) came creatures like Celestria or Luna,

To rule runs counter to the idea of discord, so I don't think Celestia meant it literally.

You know how there's a ton of fanart/comics/fanfics depicting Celestia's final battle with Nightmare Moon 1000 years ago? I wonder how long til the same happens with Celestia & Luna vs Discord.

It seems like Discord is dissapointed in Celestia more than anything. Maybe he knows that she has the potential to be a master troll like him, but the fact that she doesn't embrace it all the time is slightly upsetting, so to him she's now boring. Maybe there was a hint of We Can Have Lulz Together 1000 years ago?

When Celestia says she took over Equetria, she says that she and her sister stood up to him.

I'm pretty sure he was acting as a cosmic bully up until that point, and he most likely only thinks of Celestia as "that jerk who usurped me."

Discord really doesn't seem the type to be big on grudges. He just wants to have fun, and he finds Celestia in particular to be boring, despite the fact that she's the one who's always trying to spice things up.

Maybe he's reffering to her wasted potential?

I don't know, given that Discords basic M.O. is "I did it for the lulz", it makes sense that he really would find Celestia's ideas of actually trying to fashion an orderly society wouldn't interest him. I mean, I get the sense that his "rule" was just him trolling the ponies, and the only reason he would be considered the leader is because he was the most powerful.

Or maybe Celestia is mincing her words and they DID rule together at one point, but Celestia suffered from a My God, What Have I Done? and decided to fix it.
