I'd kinda like to see an episode about Spike's past that doesn't deal with that aspect of his dragon-ness. One thing that bugged me about Secret of My Excess and Dragon Quest is that they spent too much time pulling out new information about dragons rather than exploring what we already knew. Like I would much rather have seen an episode about how Spike's egg ended up with Celestia, and how he was raised than finding out about how dragons have natural hording instincts.

I assume they were on drugs making that. Plus it makes drup trips look more awesome.

@JT Well, he's a dragon, a creature COMPLETELY unlike the rest of the mane cast. He has a (somewhat) different mind, a different physiology, and I like it when the show takes advantage of that fact (like SOME did)

I know, it just bugs me a little that there was a really obvious "finding my origin" plot set up, and the show didn't really explore it at all.

Though personally, Spike's past doesn't really interest me. He wasn't a character back then (he wasn't even born) It's what's happening to him NOW that I want to know more about.

Still on the topic of future stories, while it's kinda hard to pinpoint, I would like to see one that subverts Rainbow Dash's Commander Contrarian role and shows her own ethics to have better ground than the others for at least one particular scenario. Dash has had benevolent moments, but they are mostly when she abides to the other team's behaviour, other than that she's the jerk that needs to be brought back down to Earth.

I know making a premise where an aggressive cynical character's methods work in a peaceful friendship revolving show would be difficult to make suitable, but it's not impossible and in some cases realistic. We've had moments where Pinkie Pie's looniness is proven right after all.

I'd like another episode where we get to see things from Dashie's point of view, so we know where she's coming from with some of her objections.

Yeah, I'd like a bit more Dash backstory and find out why she has such performance anxiety.
