Ooh! Also, I was watching Legend Of Korra last night... Ginger would like that series way more than the first one. Amon is awesome, and fucking terrifying!

To be fair, Buggy was a credible threat in his first appearance.

I mean, he doesn't hold a candle to any of the later villains, sure, but he was a good starter villain.

Read up on him. I take it they avoid close combat with him when they can.

@Crow: Who, Amon and the Chi Blockers?

Yeah, that was one thing I noticed: As long as you keep your distance they aren't a threat. Then again, they've proven frighteningly good at closing the gap. Amon manages to dodge lightening in his first appearance, and a few grunt chi blockers are enough to take on Korra.

[up][up]That's easily the best thing about One Piece - the batshit crazy powers. You'll see more in a while, but while the series might flaunt the Logia as being most powerful(You'll understand what that means later), Paramecia are consistently the most awesome.

You see what happens in the next episode? It is nnnnnot pleasant.

I wanna see more of that guy with the electric prods, though. Develop him and he could be a good supporting antagonist.

Buggy is neat in that he is a legit threat, then becomes a joke villain later on, then becomes so much of a joke villain that it somehow wraps around to him being perceived as powerful and threatening enough to command respect, despite being pretty damn weak as far as Power Levels go. Being Nigh Invulnerable to cutting weapons (which are used a lot) goes a long way, too.

[up][up][up]I have seen all the episodes... Do you mean how Amon Ambushes Korra for the sole purpose of letting her know that he can end her whenever he wants?

Also is it weird that I sort of like how quickly they jumped into shipping here? They seem to be poking fun at the whole thing... plus they've managed to make me laugh at, and feel sorry for Bolin at the same time. Poor guy.

[up][up]I personally think if Buggy got creative with his powers he could be much more dangerous. He only ever slices himself laterally - can he do it in different directions? How thing can he get? How rigid does he stay as he gets thin? Can you imagine if he sliced himself thin enough to cut? He would be a walking Death of a Thousand Cuts.

Hello everyone. I finally finished my math class -tear- and my seminar class -double tear- and can actually come here and not feel guilty about wasting time.

so what's the topic now? Korra and One Piece? Yeah... I won't have a TV tomorrow, so does anyone know where there's a Korra live stream available?

[up][up]Can't say for livestream, but the Nickelodean channel actually has full episodes up in good quality. If you can excuse the commercial breaks, which are short.

Pretty much all I know about One Piece is the fruits.tongue What's the general thought about the Zoan Fruits, though?

@ilse I wish I had had your willpower.tongue

The lack of creativity is indeed Buggy's biggest flaw. It's firmly established in-universe that the fruits' powers do not get more powerful, but that characters simply learn how to use them better. As the series progresses, Luffy becomes incredibly creative with ways to abuse his powers, which is how he becomes stronger. Buggy fails to invent new techniques, so he stagnates.

Hello, not much. It's just going to be a pain packing everything up.... I'm going to have to go into the little corners and everything to make sure my dorm room is exactly the way it was before.

And I'm sure there's a live stream somewhere. I'll go to the Korra thread to check.

As for math... Hmmm... Does anyone know HOW to solve X^2 - 23Y= 13. I spent forever trying to solve it until I gave up. I give up too easily at times it seems...

The Zoan fruits are... They're sort of Boring, but Practical, in universe. They're pretty much solely physical, but they give you one hell of a physical boost, depending on which animal you get. Even non-predatory animals like cows or Giraffes give you a huge strength boost too.

Of course, like every other power they seem to get more useful with creativity. One of the main characters is a zoan user who unlocks I think about 8 forms, while normally zoan users only have 'human', 'animal' and 'mix' forms. Of course he's a doctor and originally had to use medicine to get to the other points, so it's up in the air whether any zoan could unlock multiple forms or if it's just the chemical cocktail he's pumped himself with. By this point in the story he no longer needs the medicine to unlock his more advanced forms
