If any, I'm hoping for Lyra and Bon Bon. but since their personalities are largely the result of fan work, they'll be nothing like them in the actual show

I always found that pegasus scene kind of funny, there was a Pegasus!Caramel as well, and you can tell the animators just took some of the male earth ponies and slapped wings onto them. Maybe there's a severe lack of stock male background pegasi?

Should be noted all the Appleoosa ponies, except Braeburn and Silverstar, are just Ponyville ponies or Applejack's relatives from the pilot episode with Nice Hats.

Honestly? I never got how he looked like David Tennant. Whoof has slicked back spiky hair and has a few palette swaps (Lucky, one of the ponies that pulls the carriage in "Best Night Ever", comes to mind), which means he has a fairly standard male model. Colgate showed up with the Hourglass Cutie Mark way before Whoof did. Brown is a nice color for a horse, and that hourglass appears to be one of the more common stock cutie marks in the show.

The likelihood he's just a random male pony put together for crowd scenes is quite high.

I wanna see either a Twist episode, or a Cheerilee episode. Both aren't exactly background ponies, but they have a lot of personality, and I'd like to see their daily lives, especially Cheerilee

Well, she was in her teens or twenties back in the eighties. Or whatever the Equestria equivalent was.

Maybe she's fully aware of how indestructible ponies are, and realized that her students were in no danger at all? (refering to the Discord clip, she was shaking her head in dissapointment though)

Actually, scratch that. In the Cutie Mark Chronicles, we see her as a filly in the school play Rarity is designing for.

I'd put Cheerilee as older than the Mane Cast, but not so much that she wouldn't be able to be friend with them.

Like if the mane cast were around 20-21-ish, she'd be like 25 or so. Maybe a few grades ahead, but not by a significant amount.

On Twist possible missing cutie mark (again), the Youtube version isn't much better, we might have just have to wait until the episode airs and its uploaded in HD.

A filly that looks like Cheerilee shows up in Rarity's flashback in Cutie Mark Chronicles, so she might be the same age.

Something I've wondered about Cheerilee... is she the only teacher in Ponyville? In "Call of the Cutie" we don't see Scootaloo or Sweetie Belle*

in her class room at the beginning of the episode, but later episodes (and this clip) seem to imply they are her students as well. Are there multiple teachers that teach at different times but we only ever see Cheerilee? Is Doctor Whoof the history professor and Lyra the music teacher?

Oh and rewatching the clip, the laughter wasn't that bad, and the majority of it died down in about 3 seconds. I think she would've stepped in if it persisted.

I'm just chalking it up to the writers wanting to save screentime by just not showing that. Especially as Cheerilee would have just said the same thing that every other pony told her, and due to the placement in the episode, it's obvious that whatever Cheerilee does wouldn't work.

Or on the other hand, it could be that she just doesn't realize the degree of embarrassment that this is causing Apple Bloom. It's tough to draw the line between playful joking and actual malevolence, especially when you aren't a part of the social group in question. And most of the actual bullying didn't take place in the classroom. There was a joke, and a few seconds of laughter. Nothing that necessitated her stepping in.

It does look like she has a blank flank in that clip. Watch it turn out that she was faking her cutie mark to get Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon off her ass. Or better yet, she wasn't faking it, but now she's pretending she was so that she can fit in with the crusaders.
