So, in completely random non-pony related things, I just downloaded the
Dragon\'s Dogma demo out of curiosity.
Holy shit. The combat in that game is ten different kinds of awesome. You haven't experienced awesome action-RPG combat until you're fighting a giant griffin that keeps flying around as you ineffectually pester it with arrows, so the party's warrior crouches down and promtps you to run up to him so he can
fling you at the griffin as it flies over, and as you are flung toward the beast the party mage imbues your daggers with fire, so that when you latch on to the thing
Shadow of the Colossus-style your fiery daggers cause it's feathers to burn which causes it to crash to the ground so your whole party can wail on it. None of that is scripted, the party AI just
knows when to do things to be useful, and if you don't take the warrior up on his offer to fling you, another party member
will. Just had to share the experience.
Now, as for ponies, anybody looking forward to any particular surge of fan works during the break? I'd like to see one of the many fangames in production to finally be realized, personally.
