Ah Nickelodeon. I remember really liking Drake and Josh all the way to the end, but when I watched it again, I just couldn't care for it. Strange.

Anyway, I don't remember many of their cartoons, but I do remember and liked Jimmy Neutron.

Movie adverts seem like a better guide to quality than TV adverts. The TV advert for the Tintin movue didn't interest me nearly as much as the one in the theaters. Didn't end up watching it, though.tongue

Oh, right. Kung Fu Panda is definitely Better Than It Sounds.

Thread Hop, I see we're discussing cartoons.

By the way, did anyone do anything for Cinco de Mayo? I know we have several Mexican tropers here.

@crow You need to see Tintin. Even if you haven't read the books, it's an amazing movie.

I didn't watch TV that much as a kid, so I've only seen an isolated episode or two for most of these shows.

@Librarian The art shift happened about halfway through actually. If not earlier than that.

...I dunno, I prefered the look of the art shift I think

All I remember about Kung Fu Panda is that before it came out, someone kept spamming the poster for it on the Island Defence forums.

American Dragon? I think I underestimated that show when it first came out. When I realized that there was an over arching plot like Danny Phantom, I started getting into it. The art shift kind of bugged me though.

I've seen a lot of these shows, but I never followed them. Never saw American Dragon though.

@colin I remember the episode with Mrs. Haefer's dog Tiberius. I remember wondering exactly why he was growling at mostly everyone, but left Megan and, assumedly, Mrs. Haefer (and her daughter) alone.

@Sky So, for animated movies I need to see over the summer we have Rapunzel, Megamind, and Tintin. Could've sworn my "To Watch" List was larger than that...

Oh, Kung Fu Panda 2!

I think I saw the art shift BEFORE seeing what it looked like originally, so it didn't affect me like it did with everyone else.

I'm allso chastized for actually liking Jake's sister Haley. (she was one of my fav characters) [lol]

@crow I think Rapunzel is called "Tangled". Also, I want to see "Brave", the newest Pixar film, which comes out June-ish. It's the first one with a female lead.

@bad Good night.

@ginger You get chastised for everything.

Derpy is best.... hat?

Also, given how both Nick and Cartoon Network kinda suck nowadays, I'm going to say my fevorite network right now is the Hub. Pony definitely helps, but there's other great stuff on there too (Dan Vs. would probably be my favorite had it not been for FiM).
I own all of them...

The only shows on now that I really enjoy (other than MLP) are Adventure Time and Regular Show. I'm not as big a fan of Regular Show, but it's nice. Also, Adventure Time is really surreal, but it's a lot deeper than it seems.

Night bad.

Well, it did become a busy night after all, but now I'm entering the final three hours. So it's all good.

@Ginger you might like the original comics there were a lot of good villains abound. (IF YOU CAN FIND THEM.)

@ginger SEE IT. SEE IT NOW. Even if you hate the plot, you can tune out and watch the glorious masterpiece that is the animation. I don't know much about Brave, but the plot seems to be the stock "female breaks out of social caste to become hero" plot. Hopefully Pixar will be above that.

@Ginger: People want to chastise you for liking Hayley? Huh, I remember liking her because she was a smart kid.

...Oh I think I know why. Her intelligences made her arrogant or something like that.

I didn't know that American Dragon actually had a storyline, or something.

Also the talk of recent animated films has made me realize that I have missed out on a lot. Guess I know what I'm doing for the summer.
