You know, I would learn Python, except that programming is my job, not my hobby, so I don't have the time to learn a new language that I won't use on any of our company's projects. Everything's already in PHP, and there's no way that they're going to tear down and rebuild a perfectly functional system just to let us use a different language. My dad talked with me about how he was trying to get people to switch to Python a few years ago. No one had the time/wanted to put in the effort then, either.
