Has anyone ever tried to take advantage of the electronic medium to create nonstandard CYO As? Like you could have nondeterministic choices, or choices that change depending on your history, or stuff like that.

Yes, it's clearly parody. I know that he can write a more serious story as I like his story "The Legend of Star Swirl the Bearded" which is a fun interpretation of Equestrian History.

@Ginger Most of the choices ultimately lead to bad ends, with varying degrees of predictability. a number of paths just loop back to the 'hub' pages. The point of this fic is that you will fail alot, quite unpredictably, but that's the point. The fun is how you fail.

Normally there is an obvious escape root, but then you just end up going in circles.
