Well I was a kid when I played Pokemon so I had no idea what I was doing. I mostly justgot a pokemon or two I liked and then levelground like crazy until I couldbrute force everything. In other news, my space key hates me.

My parents never got me video games as a kid, so my first exposure to Pokemon was in 6th grade, where my friend gave me his old copy of Ruby. I think they're a fun franchise if you don't grind too much, but I always reach a point in the games where I get frustrated and ragequit. I'd probably be a lot better if you could use them like in the anime, instead of just elemental rock-paper-scissors.
