One thing I love about this cartoon is that it challenged and shattered my idea of gender separation of products. I won't lie, I was expecting to not like this show since I knew the MLP franchise is mainly a girl thing. I was prepared to go "well, I knew I wasn't going to like it, but I gave it a shot."

You know what? I'm glad that this show exists. It's a one two punch of "don't judge a book by its cover" and "one's gender has no absolute role."

Don't make me fire Pinky's party cannon.

My personal response to this sort of article:

Let's see here, he's the one who apparently believes that his masculinity is so fragile that watching a show targeted at girls could destroy it. I'm the one who watches said show and doesn't feel any less masculine for it. Which one of us is more likely to have have gender identity issues?

@Seraphem: Oh, I did. I love it when that sort of thing happens.

And now I'm going to bed because my brain is utterly fried after writing that review, which, I should note, is the longest one yet. I'll fix all the inevitable spelling errors tomorrow. I'm also switching back to crazy!Twilight because it most closely resembles my state of mind at the moment.

I especially like that he somehow compares this to people in the military, in a "why are you watching this show and not risking your lives, " sort of way. Then when someone in the comments points out that there are plenty of military bronies he gets pissy at the person for insulting our armed forces. What a hack.
