I know Meghan Mc Carthy isn't technically a writer any more, but isn't that because she's the story editor now? And I'm pretty sure M.A Larson is still working on the show, if I'm not remembering incorrectly.
We know Rob Renzetti left the show, but I'm not sure about the writers.

One thing I've noticed in the comments here is that those who think men are lame for watching the show behave like generic net trolls with insults like "yu r gey" and "virgin!"(why yes, I'm not married, so I am one. Rather be cool in God's eyes than yours pal). The people defending the show seem way more level headed and respectful. Their arguments are pretty good too. I wouldn't call myself a brony, not that into the show yet. But those argueing for the show make me kinda want to be one, heh.
