Honestly, MMDW had the rest of the cast written worse than RD was written. RD's progression that episode was actually believable given the circumstances, but the other five got wrapped up in a pretty bad Broken Aesop.

really I just dn't like his writing, he has a bad habit of ignoring any charactization just to make the story he wants to make, biggest issue people had with MMDW and PYHD wa that ponyville felt OOC becuase he needed X to happen for his story, so he makes it happen even if it doesn't fit the rest of the series.

Was PYHD really that strange? I mean, we had all of maybe four or five ponies acting rude that episode, and it's been established that not all ponies are nice when the ponies in Canterlot are looked at.
