Sorry man, I don't know what to tell you. I really think you need to take fiction less seriously, but I guess you have a hard time with that.

It'd be great if a couple of those were let loose in Congress. Then Republicans and Democrats would HAVE to put aside their differences and actually get something accomplished for once.

I don't think that's completely true, you've talked about series that you enjoy before. And even if you do take issues with aspects of those series that isn't unusual. I'd be hard pressed to think of something I like that doesn't have at least a handful of flaws. You just tend to focus more on the negative aspects and create a false sense of isolation. You aren't as unusual as you think you are, you just let the annoying things get to you more than you should. I wish I could say something more useful than "don't do that, " but I'm kind of rubbish at this sort of thing.

It's more I just have a growing feeling of despair. Like, it honestly feels like there are NO series out there that (mostly) meet my preferences...

and I can't speak to anyone in real life since none of them comprehend my problem

Ooh ooh! You guys! You know what'd be amazing? If The Hub started a crossover series of Dan vs. where he travels between the shows on The Hub. Would totally get Pinkie following him out of the pony show for the crossover adventure. :B

Just imagine. Dan (and Pinkie) vs. Transformers/Pound Puppies/Strawberry Shortcake/Aquabats.

Also I finally got me an exploration spaceship on EVE! Huzzah! I shall set the brushable Cheerilee figurine I got from a friend on its dashboard. Named the ship 'Magical Kitty'. ♥
