@ginger: I think you would like Shane. He defects to the dark side for the greater good, and does terrible things to survive. Fallen heroes make AWESOME villains.

And I don't know why you keep going after the characters. I thought they were all well defined and interesting, especially the Freudian Trio of Rick, Dale, and Shane. Daryl was always hard to figure out, too, and the kid becoming hardened by his surroundings made for great tragedy.

Huh, I thought we were past talking about opinions as if they were objective fact? Even if you don't like it, Purple, when someone else explains to you why they do, you can't just say "nope, you're wrong." Different people like different things, and if The Walking Dead wasn't at least somewhat popular, it would have been canceled by now.

I think Daryl was pretty cool as a character, especially the part where he pulled out the severed hand and used it to threaten that kid. Wow, what a jerk, and then he works so hard and risks his life to try to save that girl. Right?

Fine. In my opinion, The Walking Dead can go spoon with an angry leopard because it's dull, it's slow paced and the characters are bland.

Because zombies are interesting as characters. People are.

@ Cond, except that's also YOUR opinion that the slow pace improves it, some people might just not like that stuff.

And often someone will just NOT LIKE something, just accept it and move on.
