Yeah, it looked to me like the normal Changelings have at least some magical ability outside of transforming. It doesn't appear to be more than blunt force destruction spells, though.

Man, the finale (and changelings) just gave us a ton of stuff to comment on.

Design-wise, changelings really are in a league of their own. You can't really tell what the hell they're supposed to be.
