@Chad You said they were Always Chaotic Evil, with the reasoning that because some of them are, all of them are. Is it so unbelievable that there could be some nice ones in there?

You weren't calling Always Chaotic Evil En, but others were. and what I meant by 'why eat love' was that why would they be pre-programmed to eat love if they were an inherently 'evil' race? Negative emotions would honestly be easier to feed on, since it takes work to keep someone in love with you.

@Blue: That's a fair point, but the reasoning applies to us as well. We have rational. We have reason. But we kill things to eat them. why? Why is it okay to kill a cow because we need to eat. And why, at the same time, is it not okay for a changeling to slip into a pony's life to eat? This is what I mean with Blue and Orange Morality. It's easy to say that they're evil, because they're different from us. Inherently, fundamentally different. To them, we seem evil. I don't think we can judge they're morality at all, really. We can judge their actions as individuals - Chrysalis was a bitch, plain and simple. She enjoyed hurting a pony - all ponies. But she is one pony.

Subject Derail: I disliked how much the rest of the mane six was shunted to the background for the finale. Granted they did get a crowner, the problem was for the purposes of plot, they really didn't do much.

Eh, the finale wasn't really about them. What could have done to give them a bigger role, and yet the focus stay as it is?

Shame Crowlover isn't here.

@Chad Because every member of other species participates in wars and invasions, right?

Though I do agree with you on one thing. The finale was about Twilight, and there's nothing wrong about that.

Urg, I had a really good video of the Russian dub of Anastasia open, and now I can't find it.

I didn't have a problem with this. They each got at least 2 episodes devoted to them throughout the season, it's okay for them to not be the center of attention for the finale.

My question wasn't rhetorical.

Among other differences, both ponies and changelings are sapient. They can talk to each other. Diplomacy is an option, which is a fundamental difference between them and the cow analogy, and we never see any evidence that Chrysalis (or the other changelings in her army) have ever given that a try. All we've seen of them is outright war.

Why am I still debating this? I've already made it clear that I believe that there are dissenting Changelings who do not want to prey on other creatures in that way.

As for the eat love thing, I don't think it's pre-programmed as an "evil" thing to do, nor is it something that they can choose to switch up. I think it's just a fact of their biology. They can't eat fear, much like we can't eat rocks.
