After some consideration and thinking I have come to the following conclusion: The Finale needed more time. not in the production time mind you (Although that would get increased too) but the actual showtime. There was a lot of rushed elements in the plot.

yes we know, but they had to do it in the constraints they had, and given what thtey had to work with. IT WAS EPIC!!!
Yes movie would be better, but if anything this just PROVES beyond a doubt that they could do a full length major motion picture release MLP:FIM movie and it would be INCREDIBLE!

@Stevebat:Personally the only part I thought was rushed was the Queen's defeat. They easily could have made time to fill it out better, they chose to spend more time on the wedding/reception at the end instead.
