I'm not entirely sure individual changelings ability to survive. Especially if they can only clone medium sized creatures (As opposed to what shit lives in the everfree forest)

They're probably restricted to similar shapes and sizes. So no dragons.

Maybe it's like in Ender's Game, where the Queen controls all the young with an enormous Hive Mind.

It depends. I mean, they seem to be capable of concealing features, like their horns or wings, but I don't know if they can take on the form of something of such a massive size difference as a dragon.

I'm reminded of Dopplegängers, as they're portrayed in Dungeons and Dragons. They can take the form of any Medium-sized creature, but nothing far smaller or larger than they already are.

I don't know. The drones seemed to have their own capacity for thought. They got silently snarky. They wre tricked by body language. They had amusing moments of being cruelly deceptive.

Besides a hive-minded creature wouldn't be a very effective impostor.

They can fly, and have access to at least blunt force combat magic, as well as that goo they use to trap people with. I'm sure they could handle themselves.

I'm half-expecting to see a changeling statue in the Everfree next season.

If they ever made a movie based on FIM, I hope they make it about as epic as the royal wedding. Or more epic, possibly.

I think a changeling might be able to imitate a baby dragon, because they're the same size. Also, calm down Orion. She was messing with you.

Apart from being a superspy, shapeshifters have a very easy time of it in the entertainment industry, especially the adult entertainment industry it's all to easily exploited there. There's even a trope for it

Entirely evil races always make me feel a little uncomfortable. I wonder if there are any good changelings.

I have this crazy idea of changelings (or a changeling, anyway) integrating themselves into normal pony society.

They'd make great stage actors, for one example. They can alter their appearance and voice to fit any character!

That'd be a great moral for an episode. Like, maybe a lot of them are evil, but we should accept the good ones into society.
