I'm sticking with my "The Queen magiked her to stay asleep" theory. (rolls eyes)

ROFL....Just had the most hilarious mental image, Luna sleeping in bed, she hears the commotion outside, looks at her alarm clock and just mutters about how they weren't supposed to start the party this early/she still has a few hours to sleep. And just rolls over covering her ears with the pillow and goes back to sleep.

@ Seraphem: That would be awesome. I can't wait for someone to make that a fan-comic
In my headcanon, I think Luna was busy doing something. IDK what exactly, but it was something too important to ignore.
But I can see how being asleep can be logical in other ways as well.
The Element of Procrastination
Is her being magiked asleep so incredibly unbelievable?

Hey Syd! Seen the episode yet?
And my headcanon is that she was in the Everfree Castle.

Why would she magick Luna to sleep? It seems a complex step in the plan that could go wrong, and didn't need to be done.
Luna was already likely to be asleep during the wedding, due to her nocturnal schedule, and Chrysalis's plan was to perform the invasion quietly, marrying SA, and having him falter in maintaining the shield spell. The only reason a full-scale breaking-and-entering happened was because Twilight's return forced her hand. There really was no need to put Luna under, because the time of day made her that much less of a factor in a plan that was to be a silent invasion. With that in mind, there's no way she
would do that, unless she suffered from crippling
Complexity Addiction, since it was not needed, and could
easily go wrong and show her hand.

I have a message from another time...
@Ginger: No less believable then anything else I guess.
Funny thing is, even I got jossed on the eyes. I described her as having cataracts, so her eyes were basically white. Nope! Looks like she's sighted after all.
She could be blind without having cateracts.
If there is anything that you are alone in thinking, it's "thinking that you're alone in thinking of your theories".
@Ginger. Magiced asleep works fine. I've yet for come up with a reason I like as to the absence of Luna myself.
The internet is the realm of chaos, but not all chaos is evil.
Eeyup. I kind of wish we saw Cadence yell at the bird
As for Luna, I think everyone should just make their own head canon until it's either Jossed or Confirmed.

Well, true. If she hadn't imprisoned Twilight, she would've stayed in her room, sulking until it was too late.
But I don't think she magicked Luna because there was no point, and it doesn't need to have happened for Luna's absence to make sense. It was just mundane fatigue, coupled with her nocturnal schedule.

I actually found the mind raping of SA kinda creepy to be honest.
Then again, stuff to do with the mind always freaks me out (shudder)
