Interesting, Kegi, my general impression of being among geeks is that you like Horror Movies and if you don't like them then you probably don't exist because that's supposedly impossible. Actually I think I wrote a thing about it once.
I analyze "Geek Culture" here.
When All Else Fails, worry, that's the 14 way.
Keg: well, I am uber sensitive to jump scares, so even the eagle thing scared me a tad. But even then, I loved the movie, so I'm reccomending it to anyone who is in a similar predicament to myself.
I have a massive diet of classic cartoons and anime.
OH GOD THAT SCENE. I realized what was going to happen about ten seconds before it happened. The guy next to me, had completely forgotten, so naturally when it happened "OH DEAR MOTHER OF GOD" was uttered, and it was actually more impressive than scary, by that point.
Yeah, the book was definitely better. The movie was good, but I did prefer how the book told the story.
I'm not into horror myself. Granted, I haven't seen many horror movies. My list of watched horror is one of the Final Destination movies and Saw 5. Those are probably not the best representatives of the horror genre. While they did creep me out, they never really scared me.

Titan A.E.? God, I haven't seen that film since it was released... I can barely remember it at all...
I do remember enjoying it though.

The internet is the realm of chaos, but not all chaos is evil.
I saw Titan AE. Pretty good movie. Last I checked, Titan AE had a score ~55% on Rotten Tomatoes. Surprisingly low if you ask me.
Don't make me fire Pinky's party cannon.
Titan AE was pretty fun. Not my favorite movie by Bluth, but still entertaining.
I'm surprised so many people feel that there is this overwhelming pressure that you are supposed to like horror movies if you are a nerd. I'm actually one of a few people I know who enjoys horror movies. And yes, Mousa while there is plenty of faux symbolism in a lot of horror today, it was slightly less prevalent in the Silent era and up to the '50's if you were willing to avoid the exploitation films. Even if you aren't big on horror, I'd recommend you track down the original Cat People from 1942.
Actually, ignore that last bit if you prefer, Mousa, I realised I'm pushing you to do something you might prefer not to do. That's a bit of a dick move on my part.

Gully Foyle is my name,
and Terra is my nation.
Deep space is my dwelling place,
and death's my destination.
Land Before Time? The first film is the only film I've watched that has the honour of making me cry. Mind you, I couldn't have been more that 7-8 years old at the time...
Definitely a classic though.
The internet is the realm of chaos, but not all chaos is evil.
Can someone explain to me the connection between horror films and nerds? I've never heard of this connection until now.
Also, Land Before Time. I loved those movies (well, I only remember 1, 2, 3, and 5, but still).
