No one wants to discuss pegasi origins?

Oh, page topper. For the one or two of you who don't know, this is where you can watch MLP live stream:

Oh, it was Dutch? I didn't know the language, but I would have guessed German.

Wikipedia has a guide to identifying unknown languages.

Guh, I hope I can stay awake through the finale.

It's like, 6 in the morning for me right now. I gave up on sleep a half hour ago, after tossing and turning for a good 5 hours, so I've not slept at all. Saw The Cabin In The Woods last night and... yeah, I'm not good with horror movies. Even parody ones apparently.

I won't be missing it, but I'm not sure which room will be free to watch it in. I have middling connection in my bedroom, so I prefer to watch it elsewhere.

Yeah. for all the effort it puts into being a parody - and it's hilarious, in perhaps the blackest humour I've ever seen - it's still really fucking scary, because it is still a horror movie. And it's a good horror movie, from slow, creeping shots of the monsters sneaking around in the shadows, to a few extremely well placed jump-scares. Even the final act, which has some of the funniest bits of the movie and had me laughing for nearly the whole thing, was still utterly terrifying.

I mean, I'm just not good at horror movies in general. I do not like them. I only went to see this because my friend had free tickets...

And of course the case for no sleep was helped by the fact that my room was roasting all night, and for some reason there were people talking outside my window on the street. For hours.

@Kegi: I remember how I used to be scared of various things easily. I don't know what happened, but I gradually became less frightened of such things. Must be the mental conditioning I took as an exercise to make myself more awesome.

Well it failed to stay MLP related even with Derpy showing up.

My headcanon is that there was originally just one type of pony, then a tribe of them broke off and became obsessed with reaching the sky so they could attack the fickle weather that caused ponykind so much grief. They went and lived in the mountains and eventually evolved into pegasi

I'm having a surprising amount of trouble finding it. It's like Google doesn't know about it at all.

Anyway, is Haxmega the best stream? Which one is everyone watching?

I think I got over being easily scared when I got over Cell.

Nothing's a more life enriching experience than a small child watching innocent people melt and die horribly :D

The tone of that damn arc was ridiculous. Early on the Cell arc was horrifying, then it becomes more standard

It's not like I scare easily. I mean, horror movies are designed to scare. I probably handle them about as well as anyone does - I certainly wasn't the only one in the theater being scared - I just don't particularly enjoy it.

It's never so much the thing itself as the way it's presented. Like, the monsters of the movie in and of themselves weren't scary. It was the whole 'creep out of the shadows with the slow violin chord and the lingering shot of the weapon' thing. The anticipation, you know. Especially since they used what you don't see every bit as well as what you do.

@Ginger: The thing is, if there were originally one type of pony, then that ancestor would also need to share a common trait with the unicorns and earth ponies.

@Freeman: Oh god Cell. You know you've really scared me when I try to purge that memory from my mind. Oh, and if you try to make me remember...

Amusingly, I'm apparently vunerable to seasickness caused by the Water Temple in Twilight Princess [lol] I remember that time I literally got seasick because the water effects were too real [lol]

@Cell: Good thing I never really watched DBZ then [lol]
