You know, I don't think we ever see her actually baking anything. The closest we get is when she ropes someone else to bake for her, like Applejack and Applebloom, neither of which turn out well.

I wonder if she ever gets hired to plan parties for ponies.

It's better off viewing that work after you watched all 26 episodes so you can keep an innocent view of Pinkie Pie while viewing them. Plus Cupcakes is grimdark as fuck!

Well, I think of it similarly to the reason why one would avoid spoilers. Watching the series before reading cupcakes and watching the series after reading cupcakes would give different viewpoints.

Also, it would make sense to have the series let you know the characters before reading a fan fic, right?

If your the kind of guy for whom nightmarish antics are a plus, then go ahead and read the crap out of cupcakes, and know that it was written about 5 episodes into the season or something.
